This walk starts in the Currumbin Valley at the National Park picnic ground. A track is followed along the creek to an old sawmill, then it is across the creek and up a ridge which takes us to the base of Boyds Butte. Boyds Butte has good views of Springbrook and the Cougals. The saddle connecting Boyds Butte and East Cougal unfortunately has a fair bit of wait-a-while, so gloves are recommended. If time allows check out East and West Cougal then lunch with views. Then we track back to Boyds Butte following the escarpment to a ridge, where we bypass lantana following the ridge till we find an old forestry road and follow this for a time. Finally re-entering the rainforest back down to Currumbin Ck and out to the cars.
