We will park the cars at the Drynan's Hut and within 5 minutes cross Mt Barney Creek and then walk up the valley to Paddy's Plain campsite. From here we shall then head up towards Maroon gorge, but instead of heading up the gorge we shall turn off and head up Maroon Creek.
