Prince Regent National Park is in the north west of the Kimberley region of Western Australia.  It has remained a pristine wilderness due to its inaccessibility - there are no roads, access is only by vehicle or light aircraft charter to nearby Mitchell Plateau, and from there the only way in is by helicopter.
