Girraween Base Camp walk. We will depart from the campground at 8.00am. We drive out to the highway, south to Wallangarra and then up the Mt Norman Rd to the Stone Arch. From there we walk back to the stone arch and on to the Stone Cottage, which was built in 1976, where we will stop for photo's and a look around. We then continue through open eucalyptus forest to the base of West Bald Rock. The climb up the rock, 120m of ascent, is what gives this walk a 5C. There is some scrambling and steep sections, but we will take our time.
