The Eastern ascent of Wilson’s Peak is the longest, however, provides the greatest variation of forest types. It starts with open Eucalypt forest dotted with grass trees and then progresses into rain forest as the route becomes steeper. Therefore, we will use this route for our ascent. There is a height gain of approx. 600m to achieve the summit at 1230m from which there are great views.
