Approximately a 10km paddle suitable for inexperienced paddlers who would like to try kayaking. The water is clean and inviting, and swimming is permitted. The foreshores are timbered, and the ranges at Maleny are seen to the west. Powered craft are not permitted. The old Bruce Highway (Glass House Mountains Road) crosses the southern arm of the dam.
