We shall follow in the footsteps of Captain Patrick Logan, who first climbed Mt. Barney in 1828 via the ridge named after him ( Logan’s). We will park the cars at Yellowpinch Barney Lodge and start walking across open fields and light forest to the foot of Mt. Barney. We shall head on a gradual incline towards Logan’s Ridge and after an hour or so of walking the route will become steeper and rockier. Here we reach the base of Logan’s.
