The AV1 is an 11 day walk in the Dolomite Mountains in NE Italy while the Mt Triglav walk is 3 days in the Julian Mountains in NW Slovenia. These are marked routes. The walks accommodation and meals will be provided in refugios in the mountains. The hiking pack weight is much lighter than typical long distance Australian hikes due to not having to carry tent, sleeping bag/mat and cooking gear,
