The Cougals are twin peaks in the Springbrook National Park on the NSW border. We'll park the cars at the end of the Garden of Eden Rd, follow the track beside the border fence, through some lantana at the start, following a ridge. We get good views as we climb. Then we enter a rainforest and eventually it gets steep and rocky. When we reach a cliff line there is an interesting cave, which we'll have a look at - make sure you bring your torches. A bit of a scramble up an easy cliff break through spear lilies to the summit of East Cougal with more great views.
