From JC Slaughter Falls, the Aboriginal Art trail is followed upstream along East Ithaca Ck until a convenient entry into the creek is reached and then the creek is followed upstream to the falls. Above the falls, the route is a sharp north turn up the hill until the Powerful Owl Track  is met. There is some nice scrambling along the way and it is about 4.5km in total so won't be a long walk (maybe 1.5 hours).
